Who doesn't love Mrs. Rachel Lynde? (At least secretly? In their heart of hearts?) Never was a woman in literature so exasperating and yet, at the same time, full of good will. She always means the best and states that emphatically. This sentence, penned by Lucy Maud Montgomery, is the best description of a character I might have ever read. It's been my favorite sentence in the entire book of Anne of Green Gables ever since I was a young girl. For whatever reason, I am drawn to it and I love it, finding it an absolute perfect fit and so I wanted to include it in this bookmark.
This bookmark features my own watercolor illustration on one side and vegan leather on the other (dyed a rich black tone), stitched together to create a durable, 4mm-thick rigid bookmark. It displays the quote, from Anne of Green Gables: "She thought in exclamation points."
