When I think of teachers whom I admire, one of the first ones that come to mind is Miss Stacy from the Anne of Green Gables series by Lucy Maud Montgomery. I think secretly we all wished for a teacher not unlike Miss Stacy as we each grew up -- someone who cared enough to get to know us for who we really are and who valued what we brought to the table. Miss Stacy is a teacher who fosters growth of imagination and love of nature and the outdoors and someone I feel that Charlotte Mason would have loved to have a long, rambling conversation with.
A friend of mine asked me about making a mug for teachers and the first thing that sprung to mind was Miss Stacy and this quote by Mason just fits (in my opinion):
"Children are born with all the curiosity they will ever need. It will last a lifetime if they are fed upon a daily diet of ideas." Charlotte Mason
This mug features my original watercolor portraits of Anne and Miss Stacy. It is dishwasher and microwave safe, and is great for hot or cold liquids. It features a blue colored interior and handle, and holds approximately 11 oz of liquid.
